A group of House Democrats and Minnesota's two Democratic senators, Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, pushed back on the Trump administration's deployment of ICE and actions in the state during a "shadow hearing" and subsequent news conference held in Minneapolis on Friday.

A 27-year-old man is dead after being shot early Tuesday morning in Alexandria, according to police.

The restaurant, Dooky Chase’s, is a New Orleans fixture with deep ties to the civil rights movement. The authorities say it was not intentionally targeted.

Two men were killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting at the Stockton Flea Market on Sunday. Stockton police said officers responded around noon to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of South El Dorado Street. The two men were found dead and the woman in her 50s had a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Police were called to the area of Locust Street in Ambridge just before 3 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived and began investigating, they found Ashley Delucca, 38, and 54-year-old Andre Littles dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

"Dooky Chase’s Restaurant has always been a place of gathering, culture, and care," the Chase family, which has operated the restaurant since it opened in the 1940s, said in a written statement.
