A winter storm is expected to blast the southern United States with heavy snow, ice and rain Thursday and Friday.

Chris Daniels, the street superintendent for the city of Oklahoma City, said 25 plow trucks are working to clear roads because of the depth of snow. Their goal is to get emergency snow routes, which you can find here, cleared so they can get salt down and let it do its work.
