A handful of older games are finding new life (and new audiences) on the Switch 2 like Cyberpunk 2077, and I expect there will be many more announcements of studios bringing their backlogs to the console. And for new games, Silksong, the long, long awaited sequel to Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight might finally get to see the light of day.

A long-rumored Nintendo Direct is taking place this month after all. The Mario maker announced a partner showcase will take place on July 31, marking the first new Nintendo Direct since the Switch 2 launched in early June.

Nintendo has confirmed it will be hosting a new Direct tomorrow, where it will be announcing a selection of new games for the Nintendo Switch 2.
