Tracking the score and live updates from the New England Patriots' Week 11 Thursday Night Football game against the New York Jets.
For the first time with a quarterback not named Tom Brady, the Patriots (9-2) have won eight straight games. And they seem to have another star quarterback -- and an emerging sidekick -- on their hands. Drake Maye played another strong game, TreVeyon Henderson scored three touchdowns, and New England cruised past the Jets, 27-14.
But now, the Jets are back to year zero of yet another teardown/rebuild cycle. They’re headed for a high draft pick in a year where all of the quarterback prospects look underwhelming, while the Patriots are the betting favorites to finish with the best record in the AFC.
The New England Patriots extended their win streak to eight games on the back of a three-touchdown night from rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson. Quarterback Drake Maye continued his MVP campaign, avoiding the New York Jets pass rush and delivering darts throughout the night. The Patriots defense forced a fumble to seal the game in the final minutes.
The Patriots are now light years ahead of the Jets. It’s a study in how to rebuild, and also how to bungle things badly enough to ensure a lengthy stay in the basement.
