The NBA handed down suspensions for the altercation between the Timberwolves and Pistons. While not light, the punishments for an incident that spilled into the crowd could have been much worse. Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart was suspended two games without pay "for escalating an on-court altercation.

Pistons center Isaiah Stewart received a two-game ban. Pistons forward Ron Holland II and guard Marcus Sasser will have to sit out one game. Timberwolves forward Naz Reid and guard Donte DiVincenzo were also suspended one game apiece.

Considering Isaiah Stewart is a repeat offender, it will be interesting to see how severe the penalties the NBA hands down with him. Stewart has been suspended 6 games from prior incidents since coming into the league.
