Ferrari isn't putting all its eggs in one basket as the company will offer EVs, hybrids, and conventionally powered models
Ferrari has released the specs of its first all-electric car, the Elettrica, and gave us a detailed look at the technology behind it.
Ferrari presented its updated business strategy at its 2025 Capital Markets Day and revealed technical details about its first all-electric production model.
After dabbling in hybrids for several years, Ferrari announced it will be making its first-ever, full-on battery electric vehicle for sale in Q2 of next year, to be called the Elettrica.
By 2030, Ferrari anticipates its product lineup will be 40% ICE, 40% hybrid, and 20% electric. That includes the upcoming Elettrica, its first all-electric vehicle.
Ferrari announced on Thursday that it has cut its 2030 electric car goal in half.
Still, Ferrari has already crossed one crucial threshold on its electrification journey. Roughly 50% of its shipments are currently hybrids, a milestone that would have been unthinkable just few years ago. Analysts have high hopes the new F80 hybrid supercar will spin profits.
As a result, Ferrari's stock fell 15% on Thursday -- its worst trading day ever and was down by 18.2% over the past week, before the market opened Friday morning.
