Cassie Porter came down with the flu the night before the first round of the Blue Bay LPGA. The LPGA rookie considered withdrawing but forged on to finish fourth in only her second career LPGA start. The Aussie jumped from 103rd to 29th on the CME points list.

What a way to get your first win as an LPGA member. Rio Takeda, a rookie from Japan, won by six shots to capture her second victory at the Blue Bay LPGA. She shot 64 in the final round, the best score of the day,

Rio Takeda shot a blistering 8-under 64 on Sunday to win the LPGA's Blue Bay tournament by six shots ahead of Minjee Lee of Australia, the second LPGA title for the young Japanese golfer. The 21-year-old Takeda finished at 17-under 271 for the four rounds on China's southern island of Hainan.
